Excursion to the Roman Villa of Piazza Armerina + Agrigento’s Temple Valley with charming light dinner
Initial meeting at 9:00 AM in the town of Piazza Armerina, in the Enna province. Upon our arrival, we will visit the Roman Villa, UNESCO World Cultural Heritage.
Inside its 3600m2 we can find the biggest and most beautiful mosaics of the Roman Age in Sicily. We will find every kind of depiction, that represent the lifestyle of the ancient Romans: hunting scenes, daily life, and even a surprising mosaic that represents a group of ladies donning what seems to be a bikini!
In the afternoon we will head to Agrigento, where we will visit the famous Temple Valley, another UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. This is a truly unique site in the whole world, that shows the importance and the cultural might of the Magna Graecia, the maximum expansion of ancient Greece. Among the numerous temples of the Valley, we will find the most beautiful and best-preserved doric Greek temple in the world.
We will conclude this splendid day with an exclusive and rich Italian aperitivo directly inside the archeological park, just beside the marvelous Temple of Juno.
