Night hiking excursion to Mount Etna during its eruption period.
Thanks to this exclusive excursion, you will have a unique opportunity – you will be able to take part in one of nature’s most beautiful performances. Initial meeting in the town of Zafferana Etnea at 6PM. From here, we will get on the Jeeps, driven by expert hiking guides, that will take us to the Northern or Southern path of the volcano (depending on which side the lava is flowing), up to 1800-1900m of altitude (about 6070ft).
If the weather and volcanic conditions allow it, for an extra fee listed below, we can also reach 2400m of altitude (7874ft). The flows of lava glowing red in the dusk will be a truly breath-taking sight.
We will eventually descend back to Zafferana Etnea and have dinner.
